Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her starring role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick was honored with an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she takes part in Passover seders.
